FlowCore400™ uses a 400-cell high-flow catalyst to balance response, flow, odor control, and long-term daily drivability.
The 400-cell catalyst was selected to reduce the raw exhaust odor often associated with lower-cell race downpipes.
This makes the system better suited for daily-driven vehicles, enclosed parking spaces, and owners who want more response without making the car unpleasant to live with.
The factory downpipe and OPF system prioritize emissions compliance over response. In daily driving, especially between 1,500–4,000 rpm, this can create delayed torque delivery and muted throttle response.
FlowCore400™ focuses on the range where the car is actually driven most often: earlier torque engagement, stronger mid-range pull, and smoother usable power.
Built from T304 stainless steel with reinforced flanges, TIG welding, OEM-style flex section, and factory sensor locations retained.
The system uses a 70mm constant-diameter exhaust path and an engineered OPF replacement section for bolt-on installation.
Compared with the factory system, FlowCore400™ reduces restriction while maintaining factory sensor placement and installation logic.
Weight reduction is approximately 2.3 kg compared with the factory assembly.
Designed as a direct bolt-on system for VW Golf MK8 and MK8.5 GTI and R applications.
Factory sensor locations are retained. Assembly of shipped sections is required during installation.
