Both finishes on the brass bullet door lock pin start from the same solid brass - the difference is entirely in how that brass is finished, and how it ages.

Bronze

Bronze runs warmer and darker straight out of the box, and develops the most visible patina over time. If you like the idea of a part that visibly changes character the longer you own the car, bronze shows that process fastest.

Pairs well with: satin or matte interior trim, JCW red/black interiors, leather or leatherette in warm tones (tan, cognac, black).

Silver Chrome

Silver chrome reads brighter and cooler, closer to factory metal accents like door handles and trim rings. It patinas more subtly - the aging is still there since it's solid brass, but the shift is slower and less dramatic.

Pairs well with: piano black interior trim, satin chrome accents, cooler-toned leather (grey, black, blue).

Neither Finish Is "Higher Quality"

This is a purely aesthetic choice - both are machined from the same solid brass stock, both use the same twist-on install, and both are available across every generation and door-count configuration. Bronze costs the same as chrome at every tier: $35 for 2-door, $65 for 4-door.

Fitment Reminder
